Our Favorite Wedding Photo Spots PART 2

Today we continuing our Photo Tour around The Wright House. This post will focus on the Ballroom Garden, Front House and Front Garden spaces. We love this lush garden with vintage front windows and a wrapped porch, making it perfect for the golden hour shots. You will notice that many of our experienced photographer take advantage of the hidden gems along the front of our property. Enjoy!

The Front of the House

The following images are focused only on the front door of the original home of The Wright House, which is now our office area. So many of our couples fall in love with the vintage charm of the home and getting a photo here is memorable. Not only does it offer the charm of the home but a circle drive way big enough to photograph large bridal parties or even the send-off car!

Front Gardens

The Front Gardens wrap along the ballroom venue with a combination of green grass and paver walkways, making most people forget they are in Mesa. You’ll find multiple fountains, and iron arches with benches to overlook the full flower beds. Many of our photographers love to shoot along the wrapped porch, given Brides a completely new look to their photos. No matter where your photo is taken it will be overflowing with rich greenery with just enough sunlight beaming in.

Our Favorite Hidden Photo Spots PART 1

With so many hidden “photo spots” around The Wright House we finally wanted to put together a blog to showcase each gem. Today on the blog, we are showcasing the parking lot! Yes, I know, the parking lot, however every square inch is spectacular and that includes our parking lot areas.

The Parking Area

Remember, the following images are not even inside of the venue! Our goal for this post, is to showcase the amazing gardens from the outside. We first start our picture tour from the main parking lot, where you find greens scaling the arch entry to the stained-glass window wall, making it worth ever shot. With so many amazing photographers we made to sure to tag each one below.

Melissa Ivy Photography

Melissa Ivy Photography

Today we are talking about hidden questions you need to ask when booking a wedding venue. Now, we still advise asking other questions and defiantly those common ones like - "What is included in the package"? But we want to help with questions that you might not think of in asking especially before handing over a chunk of change.

Here are our top hidden questions to ask when contacting for you wedding venue:

Are taxes included in this price - if not how much more?

How much is it per person after I hit my cap of guest?

What is my payment plan?

When do you need to have the full amount paid by?

Is gratuity included?

How much is my deposit and is there a security deposit you hold until after the event?

What is the cancellation policy?

Are there any other additional fees with your vendors? Such as cake cutting fee or dish rentals?

Do you work with a hotel nearby with discount room rates?

What is the alcohol policy?

What is your plan B in case of bad weather?

Is the ceremony rehearsal included?

If I need to add an hour for set up or clean up how much is it?

There can be a million questions you wan to ask and that's okay. You will learn as you do a site visit most questions will be answered. However, it's great to write a list out of question you want to know as it will later help you in deciding between venues. Good luck hunting!
